Mood Matters Educational Programmes

Outside of Together For You,  Aware will continue to deliver their Mood Matters and Living Life to the Full programmes across Northern Ireland.

Mood Matters provides participants with the knowledge, tools, information and skills to prevent the occurrence of mental ill health and is tailored to meet the needs of specific groups: -

Mood Matters Parent and Baby: Designed to raise awareness of the importance of mental health in parents and guardians before; during and after birth. The programme provides parents with the tools and self-help strategies to maintain good mental health which will benefit them and their child aged 0 – 4 years.
Duration: 3 Hours

Mood Matters Young People Programme is a mental health awareness programme for young people in post-primary schools, colleges and other appropriate youth settings. This explores mental health, things that affect mental health; signs and symptoms of stress/depression; sources of help and support; and looking after our mental health.
Duration: 1.5 hours

Mood Matters Adults: An educational mental health awareness programme delivered to adults in the community and work place setting. Topics include, things that affect our mental health; risk factors and symptoms of stress and depression; treatments, sources of help and self-help strategies.
Duration: 2.5 hours

Mood Matters Later Years: A mental health awareness programme for people aged 55+ Content is similar to MMA programme with information and activities appropriate to this age group.
Duration: 1 hour
