CAUSE courses are designed to provide very specific training – based on lived experience – to families, partners and friends to cope with the difficulties they face in supporting a loved one with mental illness.

There are a number of courses coming up over the next few months including:

Carer Resilience

This one day course examines our ability to bounce back from setbacks and the impact that resilience and emotional intelligence can have on your role as a carer.

Date: Wednesday 12 November

Helping Conversations

Using techniques developed from motivational interviewing, this one day course looks at developing effective communication skills to help support, encourage and motivate those we care for.

Understanding Mental Health Forensics

This morning session is to develop a greater understanding of how to support your loved one if they are involved in the criminal justice system and experience serious mental illness.
