Cruse Northern Area, would like to say thank you to the Manager and staff at Ground in Ballymena, who kindly opened their premises out of hours, to facilitate a meeting place for their recent bereavement support group.
At Cruse, experience has shown that talking about your bereavement in a group can help to understand and work through your feelings of grief.
The group at Ground was led by trained Cruse bereavement volunteers, who devote their time freely to help support bereaved people in the local community, and was available to participants at no cost due to funding from the Big Lottery Fund under the Together For You project.
A new four week social activity group for bereaved people, will be taking place during April and May in Antrim, on the theme of Health and Wellbeing. Cruse Northern Area can also provide bereavement information sessions for existing organisations, groups or communities who may be interested in understanding more about the grieving process, and in finding out about the help and support that is available. All of these services are made available through funding from the Big Lottery Fund Together For You project.
For more information on these local services visit www.cruse.org.uk or call Cruse Northern Area office 028 2766 6686 (Office hours 9am – 1pm weekdays only). Anyone affected by bereavement can contact Cruse for Support. There is also a Cruse Helpline (Monday and Friday 9.30 to 5pm, and Tuesday to Thursday from 9.30 to 8pm) for anyone who would like to talk about their grief in confidence. Just call 0844 477 9400.
